We'd love to welcome you to Chalet Vert in the beautiful alpine village of St Gervais Les Bains, Mont Blanc.
The chalet offers simple but comfortable accommodation for skiers, boarders, walkers, cyclists, flyers and all other mountain lovers - at a very reasonable price. We're perfectly situated for family breaks too, with an outdoor swimming complex, ice skating, crazy golf, tennis and mountain bike hire all less than 10 minutes away. For skiers the lifts are also 10 minutes away by free ski bus (4 per day) or by car, and there's more than ample parking at the lift station.
The ski area is the Mont-Blanc Evasion Domain, which encompasses St Gervais, Megeve, Les Contamines and Combloux, and features an incredible 450km of pistes!

Please be aware that the top floor of Chalet Vert is also where we (Lynne and myself) stay when we're in St Gervais, and there is a shared bath/shower room.
Full Description:
We have a lovely rural location, with lots of sheep, goats and cows to be heard from your window - but we are just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town if you fancy a shop / a coffee in the sun / a lovely restaurant meal / alpine bar, or even a friendly night-club with live music.
The chalet backs onto Mont Blanc and is a perfect place to start exploring the beautiful mountainous countryside. The views (everywhere) are breathtaking so don't forget your camera. The lifts are open through the peak months for walkers, mountain bikers and paragliders.
For sun lovers - the temperature hovers around the 30 degree mark until September. Nights are chillier and a few days are lower than this, but it's generally pretty reliable. There are even 3 lakes a short distance away which are perfect for swimming and even have their own beaches!
October and November are perfect for longer treks to explore the region with suitably lower temperatures - but still bring the sun-cream.
Myself (Alex) and Lynne host the chalet, and we offer you a friendly welcome, lots of advice, pack-lunches for a minimal charge, help with your French, an honesty bar/fridge for wine and beer, and the occasional barbecue.
We are less than 1 hour away from Geneva, and St Gervais train station is directly accessible from Paris!

A short hop by bus cycle or car there are lakes and beaches, world famous spa baths, golf course, fishing, 2 casinos, quad biking and Karting, climbing, a multitude of pretty villages and a train station linked directly to Paris.
Further afield there is summer skiing, the beautiful towns of Chamonix, Annecy and the old town of Geneva. Italy can be accessed in half an hour through the Mont Blanc tunnel!
